Hello Fresh (aka Hello AMAZING)

I don’t consider myself very much of a cook. I can follow directions pretty well, but I’m the girl googling how to ‘mince’ something. Keith is pretty handy in the kitchen and so a lot of the dinner prep falls onto him. Lately, I’ve been trying to cook more. If not for the basic purpose of learning HOW, also because I get burnt out on certain types of food (like eggs… right now I’m anti eggs). I’ve pinned TONS of recipes but the biggest issue for me is that I don’t want to buy 40 different ingredients for one meal. Especially if you have to buy a larger quantity of that ingredient than you need for the recipe and its perishable… that’s just money wasted. And I HATE to spend money on food (necessities should be free.. right? #dreams)! And then, in walks my HERO, Hello Fresh. A meal delivery service that sends you the most delicious meals with just the right amount of each ingredient. I’m saved.

It’s safe to say that we’re OBSESSED with Hello Fresh now. The food was so amazing. The photos above are the Moo Shoo Pork Tacos and this was probably my favorite meal of the week. I’m a really picky eater and I typically don’t like any kind of veggie (except broccoli). I won’t tell you that I ate the radishes, because I totally didn’t! But I ate everything else and it was SOOOO GOOOD! My sister and husband are new found radish lovers, though.

The prep  was so easy. It very specifically tells you what to do and how to do it. There are simple pictures on the instructions that came in handy and everything in your box is labels. I had no idea what a shallot was before this process… Thank you Hello Fresh. I barely know how to boil water and I was easily able to complete this meal with little to know incident. There is a photo above of my sister telling me to move over and let her cut the green onions. Apparently, my slicing and dicing skills aren’t up to her standards.

It was really a fun experience as well. We all worked together to create a meal instead of one of us slaving over the stove (hah. that never happens in my house – more like starting the microwave) while the other watches TV! We loved that the food was so fresh. It tasted like restaurant food. I will give a little tip to my southerners – I added Tony’s to EVERY recipe because I just like it hot!

Overall, we have absolutely loved this experience and I would 100% recommend it to anyone! they have several different plan types to feed your family! Head to the Hello Fresh website to read more.
