Hi friends! I hope everyone is having an awesome summer so far. If you keep up with the blog and follow me over on instagram, you’ll know that I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect pair of blue jean shorts. I’m a curvy gal with a big butt and a small waist (in proportion). Not to mention, I’m only 5′ 2″. Finding a pair of shorts that fit me everywhere has been the biggest struggle ever. For the last couple years, I’ve just survived without a pair of jean shorts! The search is over, though! I found my jean short soulmate in these Topshop boyfriend shorts.
Summer is in full swing. Our recent trip to Dallas was super fun and SUPER hot! We were able to see and do so many fun things while there. We ate lunch in Highland Park Village, Drooled over the high end designer window displays, had some sprinkles cupcakes and ice cream, and shopped until the mall closed! It was my kind of weekend. While there, I couldn’t miss out on an opportunity to hit up the new RewardStyle wall. If you’re not familiar with RewardStyle, then you probably have heard of LikeToKnow.it, which is that service that lets you screen shot my Instagram photos and shop them immediately on the app! Head here to learn more and download the app yourself! It’s just the cutest wall EVER with so many fun colors. So, I threw on this new Zaful dress with black and white stripes and hiked through the heat to grab some pics!
Wow. When you type that word (gingham) three times for a post title, it really starts to look wrong! It’s not a word that you typically have to spell out, but it sure it a HUGE trend this year. This look takes me wAY back to when my mom still picked out my clothes. We were super stylish kids in our gingham, ruffles, and watermelon print everything! It’s crazy how what goes around comes back around. I am SO ready for Gingham round 2 with this flirty little off the shoulder dress!
I’m sharing #MrsMeyers in my life as part of a Mrs. Meyer’s sponsored series for Socialstars™
Are you guys sick of hearing about my Mrs. Meyer’s obsession? Too bad, because I just can’t stop, y’all! In case you missed it, check out my post on their Lilac Dishsoap and Peony Handsoap and their Body Wash. Today I’m sharing, by far, my favorite Mrs. Meyer’s product yet: Basil and Honeysuckle Multi Surface Cleaner.
I’ve got some serious 70s vibes happening on the blog today! When I put this outfit on, I seriously almost started to disco… until some creepy guys walked by while we were trying to shoot. We got out of there REAL QUICK. I know my photos might look glamorous to you guys, but the behind the scenes action is almost always a hot mess. The wind during this shoot was blowing us away. But this pretty little yellow off the shoulder blouse from Make Me Chic handled the wind like a gem. I felt a little like a super model walking around in front of this retro movie theatre with the wind in my hair! Check it out!
