I’ve got some serious 70s vibes happening on the blog today! When I put this outfit on, I seriously almost started to disco… until some creepy guys walked by while we were trying to shoot. We got out of there REAL QUICK. I know my photos might look glamorous to you guys, but the behind the scenes action is almost always a hot mess. The wind during this shoot was blowing us away. But this pretty little yellow off the shoulder blouse from Make Me Chic handled the wind like a gem. I felt a little like a super model walking around in front of this retro movie theatre with the wind in my hair! Check it out!

The whole time we were shooting this look, my sister was thinking of places that she could wear it. Anyone else got a sister who’s constantly digging through your closet? I’m not even mad, tho! This outfit deserves several trips around the sun. And it’s perfect because this blouse is a one size fits all number and seriously, it’s so roomy. But the elastic is small enough for my petite friends as well. I’m not usually a yellow girl, but his top was calling my name the minute I saw it. I’ll wear yellow but only if it’s the color of sunshine. (see this post from last summer – my FAV yellow dress) This top comes in at only $19 so it’s a total steal! I’ve been devising new ways to wear it and I’m thinking I need a white denim skirt ASAP!
I styled this look with a choker and some retro cat eye sunnies to really emphasize that 70s glam. But I could totally see this dressed down with shorts and some ray-bans! I also wore my new favorite bag. This boxy, cool one from Zaful. You’ve seen it before in this post with another of my favorite summer tops.
Also, these shoes! I finally snagged these after a while of checking them out on my girl, Brittany Comeaux. She styled them with this black striped top that I’m still obsessed with. You’ve GOT to have these Target heels. They’re comfy and they go with everything!

I CAN’T CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT! Why, you ask? This Saturday is our FAMILY ZOO DAY. At the beginning of every summer, my fam heads out to the New Orleans Audubon Zoo for the whole day. We eat, and play, and act like children. It’s my third favorite day of the year (right after Good Friday and Christmas)!! And Keith fits right in because he, too, is obsessed with the zoo. Fun Fact: Keith went to the NOLA Zoo for his bachelor party!!! That’s how I know he’s a catch. Forget booze and women, Keith just wants to see the giraffes and elephants!
