Jungle Chic with Mandy Tangerine

Hi everyone! I hope things are looking up for my friends in South La. It’s about time I got back to your regularly scheduled programming after a flood, a move, and adjusting to a new city (read more about that here)

Summer is almost over but the heat is here to stay for at least another month here in South Mississippi (It’s super weird that I can’t say Baton Rouge, LA anymore…). It’s looking like our days are numbered for flirty two piece short sets and summery floral patterns. The sweaters are coming folks. PREPARE YOURSELVES.

But until they come, lets enjoy a bit more summer. Today, I’ve teamed up with one of my FAV companies ever, Mandy Tangerine. They make the most adorable head wraps and turbans. Check it out!

The head wrap I’m wearing is PERFECT for the beach. It’s made of a swimsuit-like material and you can swim/frolic in the water without worry. I adore this color. It was the perfect compliment to this precious little linen two piece set from SheIn.com.

Mandy Tangerine also sells a turban that has a round ‘knot’ at the front that I am totally LOVING for fall. I need the gray, the mauve , and the ivory, pronto! What a great way to cover that day 3 oily hair and still look stylish and ‘put-together’. They also have headband versions call Tur-bands for those of you who are a little afraid of the fully covered look.

There is a super fun backstory to this look. If you’ll remember back several weeks, my family (all 20 of us) took off on a Caribbean cruise! These photos were taken on our excursion in Belize to the Mayan Ruins. We took a bus to a super pretty rainforest stop where we loaded up on a speed boat that would take us on a 45 minute (James Bond high-speed boat chase worthy) ride down a river to the ruins.

We had a great time at the ruins, but in true McCon fashion, something ALWAYS go awry when we’re all vacationing together. On the boat ride back, it rained. AND I MEAN POURED. Plus, we were still on that 45 minute (45mph) James Bond boat ride, so the rain PELTED US for at least 20 minutes. We were soaked to the bone and still had 20 minutes of boat ride and 40 minutes of bus ride left before we got back on the ship.

It was a memory we will never forget and I am very glad we took this images on the way there, because the ‘on-the-way-back’ look is not so fabulous! Here are some fun pics from that day on Vacation! Obviously, I really enjoy taking pics of the Kiddos and My Grandparents!
