Lightweight Striped Jacket

FASHION CONTENT IS BACK! Here we are, folks. I’m 3 months Postpartum and finally feeling like myself again (physically anyway). That means I’m ready to get back into some non-maternity jeans and back in front of the camera. I’ve been doing some super fun Instagram story try-on hauls lately (You can shop them HERE or follow me on Insta HERE) and you guys have been LOVING them! This week was a Target Haul and I found a few things that I didn’t show in the haul and wanted to share a full blog post on them. Because this lightweight striped jacket is just too good to be true!

In addition to this adorable outfit, I’ve got some really exciting plans for the blog’s future including a rebrand, a new site, and a new found sense of purpose. I’m going to chat about that a bit below, so keep on reading!

Shop The Post:

Let me start by saying that these jeans are giving me my MOJO back. They’re high-waisted (an accomplishment post-baby), sassy, and they hug my curves in all the right ways. I featured these in the try on haul and ended up buying them on the spot. I tried them on in a 8 first, then ended up getting the 6. They run a tad big, because I don’t think I’m back in a size 6 quite yet (which is 100% OK)! At $27, they are seriously a steal, you guys!

This Kimono Jacket and the three disk necklace are two of the items I spotted at target and just KNEW that I had to have. I think this jacket is going to be the perfect easy-to-wear transition piece for fall. Especially if you’re doing fall in the south where we can’t pull out our sweaters until mid December! You can totally fall-it-up with some booties and a cute felt hat! The three disk necklace is also a winner in my book. I’m loving the current ‘coin necklace’ trend and this is a play on that. I’m showing it here in my shirt (kind of like sassy body jewelry) and out! I love it both ways. And it’s really adjustable if you want to wear it super long or short.

ANYWAYSSS…

Like I said above, you guys are loving the try on hauls. If there is a particular place that you’d like me to try and go, please leave it in the comments below and I’ll do my best to accommodate. I love doing them because – let’s be real – I can’t afford to BUY all of the great things I see and do a full shoot of them (the Professor would KILL me). But I can take you with me inside the dressing room and show you all of the things that I WOULD by if I had all the $$$! That way, you can see how things fit before you walk in a waste your time in the dressing room.

With that in mind, I wanted to let you guys know a little bit about how I make money blogging. There are several different ways but the way I wanted to talk about today is commission. You see all of those link in my blog posts to items or the widget that say ‘shop the post’? Those are my special links that allow me to make commission if you purchase anything when you go to those sites. It’s basically a reward for my work, because blogging is SERIOUS work, you guys. And I TOTALLY appreciate it when you guys use my links to purchase items. The little bit of commission that I make allows me to continue blogging!

I also totally appreciate your comments, messages, shares, and likes! I see them all, and I respond to as many as I can! If you’re ever on the fence about reaching out to me or asking me a question, please DO IT! I absolutely love to hear from you. It makes me feel like what I’m doing it helping SOMEONE out there SOMEWHERE!

I have lots of fun fashion, motherhood, and baby posts coming up that I can’t wait to share with you. A lot of you have asked for Interiors posts and I know I’m lacking in that department. But let me tell you why and maybe you’ll understand. Interior Design is my other job. I love it, but it’s what I do all day. So when it comes time to write and prepare content for the blog, the last thing I want to do is discuss more sofas and throw pillows. But don’t get me wrong, I’m still going to try and work them in here and there when I can.

The other thing is that my house hasn’t really change much lately… so I don’t have a ton to report! If you have a SPECIFIC interior question/post that you’d like to see, please let me know and I’ll take it into consideration when I’m preparing my content.

I’m so excited for this new season of my life as a mom, wife, blogger, and woman and I’m so glad that you all love to come along on the ride. I have so many goals for Kassy On Design and its future and I hope to make this a place where you all feel super comfortable coming in and discussing the things that we all love!

You should always remember that the photos you see on my Instagram and blog are the BEST of the ones that we’ve taken (there have been some losers!). My life is real, messy, and sometimes gross (I have a 3 month old!!) and the photos are just a highlight. I struggle with confidence, body image, bad hair days, etc just like everyone else! I always want you guys to know that my life isn’t the glamorous thing that you see in photos. Thats why I love it when you guys take the time to read my posts and watch my Instagram stories. This is where I’m able to share more of personality and real life (like the fact that I don’t wear makeup 5 out of 7 days a week or that my newborn doesn’t always wear a bow at home -WHAT?!?- don’t tell)!

So THANK YOU, is what I’m trying to say. Thank you for allowing me to continue to do this crazy thing that I love!!

Love this post! Have you found any great work-appropriate, post-baby pants? I don’t wear dresses or skirts much and not quite where I want to be weightwise so I’ve been on a hopeless search for great pants.
