Blush Pink Duster Coat

When the weather gets cold and we are forced to layer up, I find that it’s really difficult not to look like the marshmallow man. A long sleeve tee under a sweater under a coat with a scarf and boots can get pretty frumpy if you’re not careful. Frump is an ugly word in my house. We avoid saying it and being it. I’ve already worn this coat several times and have gotten lots of compliments. It’s not super heavy so it’s perfect for ladies who live in the south like me. This whole look is a classic for me. I love an all black (or black and white in this case) look with a pretty pastel colored coat. This is my second baby pink coat and I’m a obsessed with having one on hand for winter. It’s just such an easy outfit. Also, funny story, when Kylie (photog), Kelsey (sister), and I went to shoot this look, I forgot my long sleeve white tee. So, we ran into target to see if I could find one and I found my new fav long sleeve tee for $12! I’m kinda glad I forgot mine!

Also, I wanted to give a quick shoutout to the chick behind the camera! Kylie has been taking my pics since my move to Clinton in August and I have been so blessed to find someone who is so unbelievably talented and super willing to go to weird places and take weird pics. Taking fashion blog pictures is always awkward at first, but she dove in head first and my pics have been so awesome. Only, now she’s headed to chase her dreams and spend a semester studying abroad in London! I’m banking on the fact that she’ll be back next August, but I’m so excited for her as she sets out on this adventure!

Kylie, thanks so much for everything you’ve done this semester and for jumping in and giving it your all! My photos have been gorgeous and I’m sure going to miss having you around not only as my photographer but also as my friend! Have a HUGE adventure for me in London. Do all of the things, see all of the places, eat all of the food and enjoy every single minute. Fill your cup with the history, the music, but mostly the ART! I know you’ll come back so inspired and I can’t wait to see what Amazing things you will accomplish when you do! Love ya, girl!
