Feminine Floral

I totally forgot to ask on Monday, but do you guys like the new KOD logo? And I did some tweaking to the website as well. I hope you all are as excited as me. Definitely leave me some feedback in the comments below and let me know what you think.

I’m feeling particularly girly today and so I’ve decided to do a sweet feminine space. This could be because I’ve started working out with my new trainer (shoutout to Sabrina from lookbetterneked.com who is kicking by butt on the daily) and have been so tired and sore lately that I can’t even lift my arm to blow dry my hair. When I don’t get some heat going in this mop, I get kinky, curly frizz.

So, to counteract the hot mess that I’ve been lately, my mood board is sweet, organized, simple, and pretty.

Feminine Floral

I apologize for my overuse of the color blush, but I just can’t stop, y’all! Doesn’t this look like pure paradise? If life were a room, this is NOT what mine would look like, unfortunately. This is what I want it to look like, though. Which counts for something.

The basis of this room is the cream colored sofa and chair. I know most of us can’t swing a light colored sofa due to children, dogs, and husbands. Maybe try a slip cover. Slip Covers are great for so many reasons: you can wash them, you can wash them, and you can wash them! This sofa and chair are perfect if you are looking for that light colored sofa and the tufting adds a feminine flair. But like I said: SLIP COVER. Did I mention you can wash them?

I love a natural wood paired with a metallic. It says, “I’m super girly and high-maintenance but really down to earth!” Right? Thats what I hear anyway. The gold screen pictured above is SUPES expensive if you ask me, but I LOVE it! I linked a much more affordable version in the photo scrolly thingy below. A room dividing screen looks so european and it helps in a smaller space as well. This coffee table is currently 25% off! See my last post for more of  favorites that are currently on sale.

I’m currently obsessed with x-benches. They can act as an ottoman, extra seating, and even a table if you put a tray on top. And since they’re backless, they don’t take up space in your line of vision across a room. This turquoise color makes these benches a great accent piece. Choose any color you like to add a pop to any room.

I went with these floral pillows from Society6 to finish off the space. They’re affordable ($20 each) and I love the black floral pattern. It has a vintage look when paired with the pink roses pillow. Adding a graphic pillow with words is a great way to incorporate your personality into the space. There are so many options out there so start searching and find one that you love.

BONUS: This pink desk lamp is EVERYTHING to me right now. Industrial, chic, modern, and girly. LOVE, just LOVE!

Love your logo. Love the font. The orange in kassy with left hand bracket is faint and hard to see. Could this color be bolder – your name would stand out better. Just a thought. I really like your blog – beautiful furnishings. Wish I could redo my whole house. Come up and make my house beautiful!!! Xoxo
