Gift Guide: For Your Little One

What do you get a 6 month old who seriously couldn’t CARE LESS about getting gifts on Christmas morning. Nothing. That’s probably what we should do. Save our money and give them a few of the toys they already have. They would totally never know. But we don’t. Because we love them and we want to give them the world on a GOLDEN platter! So what do you get someone who literally cannot tell you what they want? You get them what YOU want!

I’ve put together a list of the things that I want Kate to have (some of which she already has) to help you decide on some cute gifts for your little one. Kate is a girl, so if you have a boy, you might want to modify this list a bit! But hopefully it at least points you in the right direction!

You can easily shop everything above by clicking on the image (except for #1)!

1| Doll Kind. I already have this cutie hiding away in the closet for this Christmas. If you’re a mom who loves to give back, this is the gift for you. For every Doll you buy from Kind Culture Co, they give one to a child in need. They are the cutest knit dolls too! There are 6 different dolls all with different meanings. We chose the Joy Doll and I am obsessed with her! Each doll comes with ‘kindness’ chips for you to teach your little one about showing other kindness. We’re a little ways off from that, but I can’t wait to show them to Kate when she’s a bit older. They also have a line called the Good Deed Fairies. When you purchase a Fairy, a portion of the purchase goes to anti-bullying campaigns!

2| Rainbow Stacking Game. I actually saw this on a video a few weeks ago and knew I wanted to get it for Kate! I love how there are so many ways to play with this toy! Plus it’s wooden (and I love a good wooden toy) and rainbow! It really doesn’t get any better than this. You should check out the photos on amazon to see how they can build and arrange the rainbow into all kinds of different things!

3| Ryan & Rose Teething Rattle. I honestly needed to order this several weeks ago when we started teething. I have a couple of teething toys but I’ve heard such great things about this one because they’re easy for your little one to hold! And they can play with it after they’re not teething any more because it’s a rattle as well!

4| EZPZ Plate. We’re starting solids very soon. She actually sucked on some avocado and a pickle yesterday! We’re doing the Baby Led Weaning method (<- Thats the link to the book I’m reading, it’s genius) which means no mushy baby foods, cereals, or purees. She’ll start experimenting with solids from day one! Which mean we’ll need some supplies. I love the idea of this Placemat/Plate. It’s supposed to make it SUPER hard for the babies to grab the plate and throw it off of the high chair. That doesn’t mean it’s impossible, but I have heard great things!

5| Pink Velvet Dress. I already have this one from Old Navy that is just TO DIE FOR. But I’m loving this one from H&M as well. Who say’s you can’t but the cutest clothes for your little one at Christmas. They won’t remember if all you got them was dresses. In a couple years, they’ll be 100% against this idea, so do it while you can.

6| Ryan and Rose Pat Pat & Cutie Clip. I get tons and tons of questions (and compliments) on Kate’s pacifier. It’s just SO much cuter than a normal paci. It’s shaped super similar to a Soothie so if your little one takes that, they’ll probably love this as well. They come in TONS of colors and different variations of cutie clips. I would stay on the lookout because they usually do really great sales around black friday.

7| Play TeePee. Kids love enclosed spaces and I LOVE the way these TeePee’s look in playrooms or bedrooms. The one linked above is a great affordable. White is always a good idea when it comes to matching. Kate is actually getting this one (but striped) from Restoration Hardware. We bought it second hand so we didn’t pay that much for it, don’t worry.

8| Baby Sneakers. I’ve been looking for a great pair of white sneakers for Kate. She currently only has one pair of shoes that fit her and are appropriate for this season. It’s time to stock up on some other options! And I thought these were absolutely adorable with the different colored laces.

9| BOWS BOWS BOWS. You really can never have enough. I love this little set from Amazon (they have some GREAT ones). But if you’re really into bows like me, then you could check out a great subscription service like Little Poppy Co.  That’s a great gift for a mom to be as well!

10| Baby Boots. I’m dying over these $12 boots. I’m probably going to order them for Kate soon. Would you believe me if I told you they were from Walmart? I KNOW!!!!

11| Amber Teething Necklace. Apparently Amber is extremely helpful for teething babies. They wear it when they’re teething and the succinic acid found in the Amber is absorbed and helps with the baby’s pain. It’s completely natural and totally healthy. I’ve been meaning to pick one of these up for Kate. Because she is a drooling, teething mess!

12| Baby Turban. I’m obsessed ya’ll. I just bought this one for Kate and it’s still a little big, but I can’t WAIT for her to wear it. I fell in love with this one from H&M as well.

13| Musical Instrument Set. I’m a musical lady. And I’d love for Kate to have the same love for the arts as I do. Plus it’s never too early to learn to shake a maraca!

14| Skip Hop Explore. My plan since Kate was born was for her to get this for her first Christmas. Fast forward a bit and we already have it out and she’s loving it. I couldn’t wait any longer because she’s been so mobile and playful. The mat on the floor and the Mama Roo just weren’t cutting it anymore. She’s is so giddy to be standing up and playing in this toy! I love watching her. I also bought this little add on toy as well and it’s seriously her favorite. I’m so glad I did!

15| Tights. Who else loves a baby girl in wool tights? These H&M ones come in a two pack in lots of different color combos and they’re SO affordable. Kate is already wearing hers EVERYWHERE! For reference, I got the size 0-2 months and they still have plenty of growing room. Kate is still wearing 0-3 month clothes although she’s close to 3-6!

16| Kickee Pants Toddler Blanket. This may be my favorite item on the list. If your child doesn’t have a comfort toy or blanket yet, this is the one you need to get. It’s so soft. It’s made out of a jersey knit fabric so it has some nice weight to it. But it’s one of those blankets that you know will keep you warm, even though it’s always cool to the touch. Does that make sense? If you’ve touched a Kickee Pants Sleeper, it feels like that! My dad has a blanket that my siblings and I fight over every time we sleep over at my parents. And this blanket reminds me of the way it feels. My plan is for this to be Kate’s blanket once she’s allow to have one in her crib when she’s closer to a year old. Although, I kind of want to keep it for myself. They have lots of colors and patterns and boy options as well!

I hope your little one has the BEST Christmas!
