Powder Bathroom Remodel

As Linda’s pool Bath was finishing up (gosh… I need to get that uploaded) she asked me if I could help her redesign her powder bathroom. I said yes immediately. Why? Because, when you find a client you love to work with, you take every opportunity to do so. And I love working for Linda. We see eye-to-eye on so many things and when we don’t, she’s always up to hear my ideas. And I’ve even convinced her to take some risks here and there. Every single one has paid off.

Linda and her husband, Todd’s, biggest request for this space was to lighten it up. Brighten it! And it needed it. Check out the before images.

The before wasn’t bad, per say. But it had very little character. It just WAS. Ya know? So I presented two different options for the space. Both involved going with a bold wallpaper. If you’re someone who is wary of going with a wallpaper. The powder room is a GREAT place to start. In my opinion, all of the things you want to do but are afraid to do, have a place in laundry rooms, powder rooms, and closets! They’re the spaces that have no rules! So GO FOR BOLD. Below are the two options I presented.

I let you all vote on IG stories and as it turns out, you guys agreed with Linda (and me) and we went with option one. Little things changed along the way but it turned out PERFECT! I’m so obsessed.

A couple things: WE did switch out the shades on the sconces to be glass as to provide ample amounts of light in the space. The countertop design was a collab between myself and our countertop fabricators. It came out so beautiful. The artwork is random from etsy except for the photo of the gazebo which is a special spot where Linda & Todd have lots of memories in college!
