Still Blushing

Remember that post from a couple weeks ago…? Well, I just can’t get it out of my head! Every time I turn around, something else is reminding me about how much I LOVE the color blush. It has this innocent quality that makes me want to wear, think, and design in blush. You can take the toughest of materials, like leather, make it blush and the whole tone of the fabric changes.

Check out how some of my FAVORITE fashion bloggers have used blush in their outfits recently:

This time I decided to explore the idea of a blush in a living room space. Living with a group of girlfriends or as a fancy bachelorette gives you the opportunity to live in a home full of pink. Sadly, with my wedding creeping up on us, my pink interior days are over(until I have a little mini me running around)! Though I’d trade pink for my handsome honey any day.

Just because I’m confined to more gender neutral options does mean that YOUR home can’t be blushing with pink. So, I’ve put together another blushing mood board for your living room space!

This time I used blush as one of two accent colors. Just because you love pink doesn’t mean you have to be surrounded by it at every angle! Trying pairing it with more of your favorite muted shades. You don’t want to have two colors that compete with each other. Try complimentary colors!

Here I chose to pair it with this great, affordable, deep teal, tufted sofa. Pulling the blush into the room through a heavy curtain makes the space feel much cozier. And living spaces are supposed to feel nice and cozy, if you ask me. The cow hide rug from Lulu & Georgia and the wooden topped coffee table bring a natural aspect to a color pallet that would otherwise feel a little like cotton candy(which may not be a bad thing).

Overall, I’m loving the feminine flair that blush can add to a room. The mood board above shows that you don’t need to overload a space with a color to really make it POP! Just a couple of small additions or modifications to your current interior ‘situation’ could change it for the better!
