Happy Friday! Another week gone, just like that. I don’t know about you but I’m sooo ready for the cooler temps so that I can wear my fall uniform every day. I’m pretty sure it’s actually gotten HOTTER here in MS than it was the last few weeks. Also, fun fact, I’ve learned that I live in Central MS instead of South MS! Who knew that I would ever live somewhere that wasn’t considered the southern part of anything.
So let’s talk pre-fall: that’s the period of time when summer is officially over but the weather is still stupid hot so sweaters are overkill. I’m dying to pull out my sweaters but since I seriously might have a heat stroke, I’ll leave them where they are for now. Fall is all about layer, but since it’s to hot to do that, use your layering pieces in more creative ways, like I have paired with this adorbs Makemechic.com dress (that is less than $10!!!!!)

I picked up this cute little olive green button up last week and couldn’t wait to show you guys. Tops like this are key for a fall wardrobe, they can totally change the look of an outfit. Without the shirt, this dress is a bit more dressy than just your everyday ‘uniform.’ This look would also be great with a chambray shirt as well and if (for some unknown reason) you get chilly, just ACTUALLY wear the shirt! Perfect!
This dress is a TOTAL must have! It’s only $10 and it’s a perfect transition piece. The fabric is lightweight but the black and white stripes will carry you through EVERY season. My plan is to throw it on with a sweater and some over the knee boots for a sassy look as soon as the temps come down.
These booties are from 2 years ago, but seriously, they’re timeless. They have a slightly pointed toe which makes them super modern. You can’t go wrong investing in a nice pair of black booties that will be stylish for several years. Thankfully, they still sell this style so you can still grab a pair while their available.
