Summer Stripes

If you’ve been following the blog for a while, then you know I’m a fan of stripes. They’re super classic and can be worn in soooo many ways. Typically we see stripes mostly during fall and winter months (especially black and white or navy and white) but that doesn’t mean we should forget about them altogether as soon as the weather warms up.

For today’s post, I’ve teamed up with Humble Chic NY to show you how to wear stripes this summer with this perfect, light weight, chiffon button up.

This top is going to be a staple for me this summer. It’s so breezy and much dressier than a tank top for a night out! Humble Chic also sent me these gorgeous pink stud earrings. I love the size of these studs. They’re large enough to make a statement but small enough to be easy to wear.

I paired the top with my FAVORITE EVER white denim shorts from Joe’s Jeans. If you’re not familiar with Joe’s Jeans, check them out. I’ve always found them to be great for ladies with larger thighs like me (not that I think my thighs are super large,  but in proportion to my waist, they’re bigger). Even after recently losing about 10lbs, it’s still hard to find shorts that fit my waist AND my thighs. These Joes’s are PERFECT.

SHOP THE POST:

Just before I wrote this post, I went to grab these jorts out of the dryer… and guess what… THEY’RE PINK (which is ironic considering this post)!!! And so I cried, went and bought some oxy-clean bleach and I’m trying to hold it together as I type this. It’s a very sad day at the Randazzo house when your very favorite shorts are ruined. Say a small prayer that either my shorts bleach out or that I remain calm through the process! I know, I know… Don’t cry over spilled milk. I’m just heartbroken. That’s what I get for not sorting my laundry.

If the color doesn’t come out, maybe I’ll actually dye them pink… thoughts? I’d love to hear if anyone has a miracle solution for color correction. Comment below… I can use all the help I can get.

Thanks so much to Humble Chic for providing the top and earrings for this post.
