We Got a New Travel Stroller!

So, we’re only a couple months out from our big family trip to Disney World and if you know me, you know I’ve already been prepping! One of the very first things on my list was figuring out the stroller situation. After lots of research, I found the Ergobaby Metro Compact City Stroller and knew it was PERFECT for the trip. And I’m so pumped that Ergobaby partnered with me on this post telling you all about the features that make the Ergobaby Metro Stroller the perfect stroller for travel.

Our Disney trip is SO CLOSE that we can almost taste it- Gaston’s Cinnamon Rolls, Dole Whips, and Mickey Waffles.  I’ve been busy checking things off my list in preparation (blog post to come on all my WDW prep). We decided to fly there because a 12 month old in a car for 10 hours didn’t sound like much fun, but that means consolidating all of our STUFF.

So I researched and I researched (and Kelsey researched, of course) and we narrowed down the strollers that we thought would be great for airplane travel and park days.

These are the features that I KNEW we had to have.

  1. Lightweight. When you get to the buses at the resorts and parks, you have to fold your stroller and carry it. We wanted something that I could easily carry with a baby on my hip in case I was ever heading back to the room alone.
  2. Reclining Seat. We don’t plan on leaving the parks for all of Kate’s nap. That would mean so much travel time and so much less park time. My plan is for her to nap when she needs to nap in her stroller. So we need it to recline so that she can be as comfortable as possible.
  3. Small when folded. If it’s lightweight, that’s great. But if you’re jamming into everyone around you then that’s just rude! We wanted something that we could carry with one hand. Bonus points if it has a handle.

One of the only strollers that fit all of our needs was the NEW Ergobaby Metro Stroller. It’s only 14 lbs., which mean I can easily lift it with one hand. Plus the ergonomic handle makes it SUPER easy to tote anywhere.

It folds up so easily that I can do it with one hand while holding Kate as well. Plus, it can fit in most airplane overhead compartments and it stands up on its own! Which means we can set it down, or slide it under our table when we’re dining out and it won’t flop over! It also has a flip-flop break (meaning one you can engage even if you’re just wearing a flip flop) for ease and safety.

Ergobaby lives up to their name once again by providing an ergonomic ‘back safe’ reclining seat for Kate. It’s cushioned and comfortable so that she can ride around the parks all day without any discomfort! Plus, the UV 50 canopy will keep her shaded and cool while she naps.  Even the foot rest is adjustable to make it comfy and flat for her while nap and bent down when she’s up and moving!

Overall, I’m more than excited about our Ergobaby Metro Stroller. The price tag is GREAT for all of the features that it includes, and its sleek design looks great anywhere, anytime! It currently comes in 3 different colors. I opted for the all black since it’s just so classic and clean.

I cannot wait to take this baby (and this stroller) to Disney in May. The Ergobaby Metro Stroller is going to make our trip comfortable and easy so that we can enjoy traveling together without worrying about how we’re going to get around!
