I’m not much for fashion faux pas’. I think that you should be able to rock what you want, when you want. That being said, I do have a very healthy respect for dressing for the season that your in and as of yesterday, we are in FALL! It’s my favorite season for fashion. From boots to layers to plaid, it just doesn’t get any better than fall. Wearing white after Labor Day has never been something I’ve shied away from. Having grown up in the south, the ‘No white after Labor Day’ rule is typically obeyed by the masses and when someone breaks out those white jeans in October, people start talking.
Tell those people to hush, because as far as I’m concerned white is classic, clean, and should be considered a year-round staple. Instead of packing up your white clothes for the winter, just try and pair them up with warmer colors, heavy knits, boots, and layers. This look is a great example of a transition outfit from Summer to Fall. Especially since Fall still feels a lot like Summer in the South. I’m super jelly of people I follow from up north who are pulling out their scarves for more than ‘fashion’ reasons. This chunky knit cardigan is definitely a must for the cooler weather headed our way (eventually). It’s super comfy and oversized for an easy, laid back look.
These shorts and tank are staples in my closet. I wear them with everything. These shorts have been through the ringer and still came out on the other side. If you keep up with my blog, you’ll know that they were once pink!!! But after a few bleaches, all is back to normal.
Of course, I’m super into chokers this season because face it, the 90s are back. It’s scary that they’ve been gone long enough to warrant a come back! This little lace choker is probably my favorite so far. It’s so feminine and sassy! I love it. And this Chloe Dupe bag is way too good not to have (for under $30).
These Sam Edelman booties are from last season, but they are back in stock this year and they are a MUST HAVE. I would love to invest in a few more colors in them. They are so easy to wear with anything.
And those SUNNIES… Ya’ll I’m obsessed! I cannot get enough sunglasses and this pair is my new fav! AND THEY’RE LESS THAN $5! (sorry for yelling, but I just need you to get it… $5, guys!)
