Channeling my Inner Blair Waldorf

Happy Friday! I hope everyone is settling into the new year well. I know I am. Big things are going to happen in 2016, I can feel it. I am extremely excited about the direction that Kassy On Design is headed this year. I hope to inspire you all and introduce you to some of my favorite designers, bloggers, and brands throughout the year. I hope you’ll SUBSCRIBE to keep up and see what’s coming.

On to this weeks #fashionfriday. Keith and I are currently binge watching Gossip Girl. This is (shamelessly) my 4th time to see the series and it never gets old! When I put on the outfit for this week, Elizabeth decided that Gossip Girl was going to my head and I was obviously channeling my inner Blair Waldorf in her Constance days. She’s probably right. See for yourself.

So let’s talk about this last picture. The over-the-knee boots. I honestly thought this was a trend that I would avoid for the rest of my life. The main reason being that I’m 5’2″ and definitely do not boast about having thin modelesque legs. But HEY! Why not give it a try? Turns out, its pretty darn cute and I feel GOOD in them. I actually feel taller which is something that rarely ever happens.

I’ve been eyeing this particular pair of Steve Madden boots for a while now and am so glad that I finally decided to buy them. The heel is perfect and they are SO comfy. These are a little pricey but Steve Madden has put ALL of their boots and booties 30% for a limited time. So if you’re wanting these, now is the time to do it. They also come in a GREAT cognac color as well.

The skirt and top are both Gap. They’re actually my sister’s but that is what is so great about wearing the same size as your mom and sis, SHARING! Am I right, or am I right? The bag is my new child. Keith bought her for me from Christmas and I can’t get enough!

Now I know you’re all wondering about the necklace because it’s pretty sticking awesome, right? Bauble Bar. I’m sure you’ve heard me talk about this sight before, but for real, its the bomb. My mom racked up before Christmas and showered me with Bauble Bar love (Rebecca Minkoff and Bauble Bar? BEST CHRISTMAS EVER). Also you will notice that my loved ones followed my Christmas list to a T!

I need everyone’s help. I’m hoping to talk my little sister into joining me in the blogosphere so that we can create a blogging EMPIRE (insert menacing laugh here)! I’m (sort of) kidding.
