I was going to wait until the entire bathroom was finished, but I just couldn’t help myself. It will likely be 4-5 weeks before my shower glass get installed and I CAN NOT wait that long to get some photos up here on the blog. So, you’re getting a bathroom vanity reveal today!
For this bathroom vanity, I wanted to combine my love of high contrast spaces with the southern character of my home. That is the main reason behind my choice of a deep, dark wood tone here. The vanity is made of Maple wood and is stained with 2 coats of Varathane’s Kona Stain. Then sealed with a water based sealer. I love it. I went back and forth in my head even after I stained it about the darkness of the wood. But turns out, I should’ve trusted my gut from the beginning because it’s PERFECT.
I’ve gotten several questions about why I went with a polished nickel finish on the fixtures while I kept the accents all antique brass. I love the collected, vintage feel that you get when you mix metals in a space, and a bathroom vanity is the perfect place to try it out. To read more about my material selection for this space and the thoughts behind it, check out THIS POST!
The marble is my BABY! I actually gasped when I saw this stone in the stone yard. It’s called Shadow Storm. It’s a true natural marble stone and I get goose bumps thinking about how God made this perfect piece of art for my home.
I did my best to link everything that I could! Please let me know if you have any questions!
