Reverse Your Routine with TRESemme

Hi everyone! I am so excited about today’s post. I am teaming up with TRESemmé to show you an AMAZING new line that gives you volume like you’ve never seen before. Below are the steps for creating Beauty-Full Curls with tons of TRESemmé Volume!

Step 1 – Pre-Condition

As I said above, TRESemmé allows you to Reverse your Routine by conditioning your hair first. This step is going to lock in the softness by reinforcing your hair’s natural protective layer using Fiber Polishing technology. It is safe for my color treated hair and the pre-conditioning formula protects my hair during the washing to make sure it stays smooth and polished.

Step 2 – Shampoo

Since you are reversing your routine, you shampoo will be your second step. TRESemmé’s Beauty-Full Volume Shampoo is gentle on your hair but tough enough to remove the excess weight and oils that keep your hair flat and lifeless. It leaves an ultra-light layer of conditioning treatment on your hair to ensure light, bouncy volume. Since you’re not conditioning after, you hair is going to feel a little courser to the touch because it’s not coated with heavy conditioner. Just grab a comb or brush and brush through any tangles before you move on to the next step.

Step 3 – Maximize your Volume

This step is where the magic starts happening. After you’ve brushed through any tangles, add a bit of the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Maximizer to your hair from root to tip, concentrating on the ends of your hair. The Maximizer contains Fleximax Volumizers and Fiber Polishing Actives to provide bounce, frizz control, and smoothness. This is also going to make your hair feel a bit softer after the shampoo.

Step 4 – Mousse

This mousse isn’t like other mousse (oh… plurals! They get me every time). It doesn’t give you that ‘crunchy’ feeling you typically get. This step is to aid in the styling of your hair. It gives you a little more control by lifting your roots yet still allow hair to remain touchable soft. I’ve never been much of a mousse girl, but this one was a game changer for me.

Step 5 – Style

This is the step where you can go crazy (not too crazy)! I started by blow-drying my hair and round brushing it to create even more volume at my roots and smoothing out any kinks in my curly hair. I then went over my whole head with my 1 inch Curling Iron. When I curl my hair, I don’t stop and hold. I almost treat the curling iron like a flat iron. I run the curling iron through my hair several times until I see the amount of curl I want. This allows me to get soft waves or tight bouncy curls. Today, I’m going for something in between. After finishing, I touch up around my face with the flat iron.

Step 6 – Hold

Hairspray is the obvious last step and TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Flexible Finish Hairspray does not disappoint. Spray it all over your hair to finish your look. It won’t leave your hair hard and frozen. It holds your style while still keeping it soft. This is definitely a plus for me because I have a habit of running my fingers through my hair all day long. And now you’re ready to show it off!

Overall, I have to say, I’m in LOVE with the Beauty-Full Volume line. There is really a noticeable difference in my hair after I used all of the products. My favorite part has to be that I get to #ReverseMyRoutine. I am all about trying new different techniques when it comes to my beauty routine and TRESemmé has provided me with just that!
