I couldn’t think of a better way to start out this week of Thanksgiving than by telling you guys the thing that we’re most thankful for this year. We’re having a baby, y’all! I feel like I’ve been waiting to announce the pregnancy on my blog for YEARS, but in reality its only been about 7ish weeks. But now that I have, I am SO excited to share this journey with all of you. Keith and I are so excited to start a family and so thankful for the wonderful group of friends and family that have already showered us with love and support over the past few weeks.
Like I said above, I plan on sharing tons of fun pregnancy, maternity, and baby related things here on the blog and bringing you all along on my pregnancy journey. If there is something that you specifically want to hear about, please leave me a comment below and I’ll do my best. To get you guys all up to speed on what’s been going on for the past couple months, I’m answering some of the questions I know you’re going to want to ask below! Also, how cute is my little family?
Hey guys! I’m super excited about today’s post. I’ve been meaning to get this up for several weeks and finally had the time and energy to track down all of my pics and get them organized for this DIY. If you checked out my Guest Room Makeover Reveal Post from a few weeks ago, then you probably spotted these adorable buffalo plaid ottoman stools. Well, guess what? They’re a DIY. And a super easy DIY at that. It requires very little skill, but a sewing machine is probably better than doing it by hand. Plus they cost less than $30 each with all of the supplies.
Christmas is fast approaching and I’m sure many of you have already begun your gift shopping. Chances are, you’ve got someone like me on your list. Or maybe you’re like me and you love a bit of luxury in your Christmas stocking. Every single year, I ask for a new pair of sunglasses. They’re easily the most worn item in my closet and so I never feel guilty for spending a bit more on them. But I certainly don’t want to overpay. Which is why I’m so excited to be partnering with Smart Buy Glasses to bring you the best way to shop for both prescription eyewear and sunglasses.
One of my least favorite things about shopping in retail stores for eyewear is their lack of selection. Even large department stores tend to only choose the most popular frames from the most popular brands. Smart Buy Glasses has over 180 brands of luxury eyewear and over 80k products which means they have ALL of the style and shapes that you don’t get to see in retail stores. Plus they don’t have to use the high retail mark-up, which means you’ll be paying less for luxury.
I love fun, loud accessories. But, I’ve always been drawn to sweet, dainty jewelry designs when it comes to the stuff I wear everyday. I’ve been wearing out my 3 go-to gold dainty necklaces lately and I knew it was time for an update. So, when I saw Freshie & Zero’s gorgeous line of unique jewelry pieces, I was an instant fan. Their stuff is well made and perfect for everyday wear. I chose some of my favorite pieces to show you guys in the photos below.
Two of fall’s biggest trends in one look? I’m killin’ it in todays post with this comfy, easy outfit! The first trend is Chenille. I’ve seen Chenille EVERYWHERE lately. Its a velvety soft knit with the most beautiful sheen. It’s as comfy as it looks, folks! And nice and warm as well. When I saw this Loft cardigan, I knew I had to have it. I actually ordered it in the blush pink color, but Loft messed up and sent me this mustard color and I’m not even mad about it! I obviously kept it and am LOVING it. The most unfortunate thing has happened, though. It’s out of stock already! So I’m linking some almost identical options for you below!
The second trend is probably one of my favorites, the reintroduction of the Baker Boy hat, or the Newsboy hat, or whatever you want to call it. We were rockin’ these babies circa 2002. I was wary of their return at first, but quickly jumped in head first! I don’t wear many hats. They often just don’t look right on my head, but this style is AMAZING! I think it’s so flattering and kind of rocker chick-ish. WIN!
