Styling Our Piano

A few weeks ago, I did an LONG post all about how I refinished a free piano that I found on the Facebook Marketplace. It turned out so beautifully. I had an idea in mind of how I wanted to style it and, honestly, it came to life even better than it was in my head thanks to Wayfair, who sponsored this post!

I’ve been working to transition my living room to a more neutral color palette and include more items that bring my family joy – hence the piano. My kids love music and LOVE to look at themselves in the mirror (who doesn’t, right) and I knew that a large mirror would be the perfect addition to this space.

As per usual, Wayfair had exactly what I was looking for. I loved that I could narrow my search so easily. I was able to choose a gold frame and even the arched shape in my search. I’ve been super into arches lately and a mirror is a great way to bring one into your home without having to remodel those doorways.

Mirrors can be super pricey as well so I was super pleased to find out that this LARGE mirror was around $250. As someone who shops for mirrors daily for my clients, I know that this is a steal of a deal. In fact, I’ve saved this very mirror to use in a few future clients spaces as well. THAT’s how much I love it.

I added a thrifted lamp, a spray painted ginger jar (tutorial here), my favorite Grey Malin book, and a couple of odds and ends for a finished styled look. Now I just have to fill that photo frame, which typically takes me at least a year or so! Anyone else?

Now this little corner in our home is everyone’s favorite. We can play (BANG, you mean) on the piano keys, laugh at our reflections, and make some great memories together as a family. Bringing music into my home has been such a blessing during this time of unrest in the world.

What are you doing in your home to encourage joy?

Just a quick disclaimer. I am not unaware of the rumors surrounding Wayfair at this time. However, I also vow never to spread anything but the truth. And as these allegations are currently only hearsay, I feel the need to give the MANY people employed by Wayfair the benefit of the doubt. These opinions are all my own and reflect only the experiences that I have had with Wayfair in the past as a designer, blogger, and consumer. If new information comes to light, I will reassess my partnership with the company. That being said, I am in NO way telling you how or with whom to spend your money. You should do your own research and make your own informed decisions.
