TPF Cosmetics: Easy ‘Dressed Up’ Makeup

Ok, friends. I’ve got something fun(ny) for you today! If you’ve been hanging around the blog a while, then you’ve probably heard me talk about The Perfect Face Cosmetics. I’ve included some of my favorite TPF products in several posts like this one about my favorite lip colors! I’m super excited to share that I’m now working with TPF to bring you guys more info on their products as well as a little discount (10% off with code ‘kassyr’)! TPF sent me some new products to try and so I thought I’d give this video thing a try again (see my first attempt here) to show you how I use TPF products for a full coverage, yet simple, ‘dressed up’ makeup look.

DISCLAIMER: Though I consider myself a makeup enthusiast, I would (in NO way) consider myself a professional! I have learned a lot over the years and would love to share my knowledge with you, though. Feel free to make fun of me! My sister and I literally LOLLLLed so hard and this video! I’m still working out the logistics of filming a video (hence the weird shadows). You should also know two things: 1. I did this whole video without a mirror in front of me (no place to put it… bleh) which is why you see me looking to the side very often – that’s where my mirror is. 2. I’m very messy when I put on my base because I know I’m going to blend it and YES… one side of my contour is definitely darker than the other… oops! Probably due to the no mirror thing!

Anyway. All of that being said, I’m a die hard fan of The Perfect Face Cosmetics and after having used them for several years now, I can truly say, they are the best of the best. I hope I do them even the slightest bit of justice in the video below! I hope this video makes you smile and maybe you’ll learn something as well!

.A couple of little tips when purchasing TPF:

  • If you like to have your eye shadow’s all in one place like me (instead of in individual packs), you can purchase TPF eyeshadow refills. The Z Palette from Sephora is magnetized and works really well to keep all of the shadows together. I have the MAC palette and one of the shadow inserts. TPF shadows are the same size as MAC so they fit perfectly. I did by some magnetized strips at Walmart to be sure that my shadow’s stayed put! So far so good for me!
  • If you already have a few TPF shadow in the individual packs and want to put them in a palette, preheat your oven to 250 degrees and put them in for 5 minutes. It will melt the glue and you’ll be able to pop those shadows right out!
  • If you aren’t sure what color base you wear, you can order a few sample sizes to try out! They’re only 6 bucks and they last a while!

I hope you enjoyed that video! I’m going to keep trying to get better and better at them. I enjoy sharing videos because I feel like it helps you all to get a better look at my personality. Real Talk: I don’t take myself very seriously. I am trying to be as professional as possible in my videos, though, because I want you guys to really get a good look at the products and understand how fantastic they really are! But like I said, I’m neither a professional videographer or a professional makeup artist, so I did my best!
